Peninsula Players Continue Seminar Series

Kنrin Kopischke’s research on Tippy Hedren’s costumes – inspiration for costumes in “Panic.”

Peninsula Players’ Saturday Seminar Series will conclude with three seminars in October, featuring Players’ designers and actors. The seminars will be held from 2:30 – 4 pm in the Players’ Rehearsal Hall.

Peninsula Players costume designer Kärin Kopischke and costume shop manager Katrina Schuster will lead “Hitchcock, Mad Men, and Other Influences on Panic Costumes” on Saturday, October 2. The two will discuss the inspirations for the stylish costumes in Panic, set in 1963 Paris and featuring a character modeled after famed filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock.

On October 9, Peninsula Players actors Carmen Roman and Gary Houston will present “Film Acting vs. Stage Acting,” a discussion of the differences between acting on stage and acting for the camera. Both Roman and Houston have extensive film and television credits in addition to their lengthy stage résumés. Houston’s include The Blue Brothers and Fargo and Roman has been cast in several episodes of “Law and Order.”

All seminars are free, but require advance reservations. For more information and/or make a reservation, call 920.868.3287. Space is limited to 50 people for each event.
