Peninsula Players Theatre will present an in-person reading and a virtual audio recording of The Safe House – Kristine Thatcher’s charming and poignant play about family – as part of its winter play-reading series, The Play’s the Thing.
The Safe House is a beautiful examination of family, transition and the importance of being there for each other. Bridget longs for a comfortable stay with her grandmother, Hannah, away from the challenges of being an actor in New York City. What she finds is a family struggling with change.
Artistic director Linda Fortunato will direct Iris Lieberman and Eva Nimmer, who are making their Peninsula Players debuts; and Noah Simon.
The reading will be performed in person at Björklunden, 7590 Boynton Lane in Baileys Harbor, on March 7, 7 pm. In-person attendance is limited to 80 patrons, and advance reservations are required for both the in-person reading and the virtual audio recording.
In-person attendees must be fully vaccinated, including eligible boosters, and must wear a mask at all times. Proof of vaccination, photo ID and tickets will be checked at the door.
