Peninsula Players Receive Sustainability Grant for The Play’s the Thing

The Door County Community Foundation recently awarded Peninsula Players a Sustainability Grant from the Arts Fund to support the program, The Play’s the Thing. Components of the program involve offering free, offseason play readings to the public and also, in collaboration with Write On, Door County, provides opportunities for students to receive playwriting instruction that culminates in a playwriting contest.

“This creative partnership between the Peninsula Players and Write On, Door County offers a variety of opportunities for our community to experience the exciting process of preparing a play, from writing to performance,” said Marcia Smith, board member of the Door County Community Foundation.
