Peninsula Players Receives Grants, Seeks Ushers

Peninsula Players Theatre received two significant grants from the Shubert Foundation and the Wisconsin Arts Board. 

The Shubert Foundation awarded Peninsula Players $30,000 in recognition of its artistic excellence and enduring legacy. The foundation is the nation’s largest funder dedicated to unrestricted funding of not-for-profit theaters and dance companies, awarding $37.9 million to 635 not-for-profit arts organizations in 2023.

The Fish Creek theater company also received $15,720 from the Wisconsin Arts Board. In 2024, the agency celebrates 50 years of nurturing creativity and supporting the arts throughout the states. 

Peninsula Players is looking for volunteer ushers for its 89th theater season, which runs June 19 through Oct. 20. Volunteers can register by calling 920.868.3287.
