Peninsula Preschool Receives Sustainability Grant

The Door County Community Foundation recently awarded Peninsula Preschool, Inc. a Sustainability Grant from the Children & Youth Fund and the Martha Cherry Fund. This grant will provide financial assistance making student tuition more affordable for low-income families.

The Peninsula Preschool is a licensed early childhood education center focusing on pre-Kindergarten education for 3-5 year olds in northern Door County. A community supported program for more than 30 years, the preschool provides a constructive learning environment that encourages positive self-esteem for young children and prepares these students for their future educational experiences.

“So many children benefit from the Peninsula Preschool experience, the dedicated teachers, and all of the volunteers. This grant will help to extend the reach of the Preschool’s quality educational programming to more families as they continue to provide an engaging and healthy environment for learning,” said Dave Eliot, board chairman of the Door County Community Foundation.
