Peninsula School of Art’s “Relate & Create”

Anne Emerson and her granddaughter create with clay at the Peninsula School of Art.

This summer at Peninsula School of Art in Fish Creek, Friday mornings are reserved for children and their adult relatives to literally create memories during “Relate & Create.” From June 25 through August 13, the two-and-a-half-hour workshop blends family-oriented themes with art education. The completed projects are designed to provide lasting keepsakes. Themes and projects include Door County Postcards, Mold Making and Casting a Family Album, and Artistic Energy.

The setting for “Relate & Create” is the spacious Tourtelot Youth Arts Studio. Instructors will adapt projects and instructions to meet the individual skill levels of children from 3 to 17 years of age.

The workshop was designed in response to requests by parents and grandparents to provide an art activity to share with the youth in their family.

The half-day “Relate & Create” workshop is a complement to the PSA’s “Summer Studios for Young Artists” four-day workshop in all media. Tuition for “Relate & Create” is $50 for each adult and child pair ($60 for non-members). Each additional child will cost $15. Supplies are included and space is limited.

The art school and Guenzel Gallery are located at 3900 County Hwy F, Fish Creek. For more information or to register, call 920.868.3455.
