Peninsula Singers 2018 Season Begins

The Peninsula Singers start their season of rehearsals for the 2018 spring concerts Feb. 26 at the United Methodist Church, 836 Michigan St. in Sturgeon Bay. A social and registration is set for Feb. 26 at 6:15 pm; rehearsal begins at 7 pm.

Singers of all ages, beginning with freshmen in high school, are eligible for membership. Though there is no audition, the ability to sing and read music is very helpful. Experience with choral singing is helpful, but not required.

Selections include “Seasons,” a collection of songs about the four seasons of the year; a Rodgers and Hammerstein Broadway medley; “Requiem” in English by John Leavitt; a medley of American folk songs, and more.

The group rehearses at the United Methodist Church each Monday from 7 to 8:30 pm. Dues are $25. The Peninsula Singers Artistic Director is Merle Colburn and the Assistant Director is Mary Hall. For more information, call 920.743.8861.
