The Peninsula Singers are celebrating their 40th-anniversary year with two spring concerts.

On May 18 at United Methodist Church, 836 Michigan St. in Sturgeon Bay, the Peninsula Singers Youth Choir from the Boys and Girls Club will open the concert at 6:30 pm. It will perform selections from The Wizard of Oz under the direction of Carmen Youra. At 7 pm, the Peninsula Singers will share patriotic, sacred, traditional folk, gospel, ragtime, soundtrack, a cappella and world music under the direction of Janet Anderson and Mary Hall.

On May 19, the Peninsula Singers will perform at 3 pm at Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church, 11836 Hwy 42 in Ellison Bay.

The nonprofit can continue in its efforts to spread music throughout the county through generous financial support from the community. The programs are free, but donations are appreciated.
