Peninsula State Park Holds Birding Program

Peninsula State Park, an official Wisconsin Migration Stopover Site, is hosting an opportunity to bird with the park naturalist on May 13 and May 20. Meet at Weborg Shelter at 9 am and stroll this birding hotspot. Yellow-rumped warblers, mergansers and flycatchers frequent this area. Bring binoculars if you have them (limited binoculars will be available). Violets and other blooming flowers will also be identified. Dress for the weather; it’s easy walking. This program is free and open to the public but a state park vehicle sticker is available. For more information, call the White Cedar Nature Center at 920.854.5976 or email [email protected].
