Peninsula Symphonic Band Celebrates 25 Years

Established in 1990, the Peninsula Symphonic Band is celebrating 25 years of being a community band in Door County by performing two free concerts. Both concerts are open to the public; there is no rain location or rain date. Please bring a lawn chair.

The first Reunion Concert celebration is June 27 at Martin Park in Sturgeon Bay. The second Reunion Concert is July 18 in Sister Bay at the new band shell along the bay. Both concerts feature a wide range of music genres, and begin at 7 pm and will be canceled in case of inclement weather. Freewill donations will be accepted.

If interested in playing at either concert, join them at the dress rehearsal one week prior to each concert. Bring your working instrument (and a music stand) to the rehearsals at Sturgeon Bay High School. Enter the school through the band room door (it faces Michigan Street, and will be open).

The band rehearses Monday evenings in the Sturgeon Bay High School band room from 7 – 8:30 pm. Rehearsals are open to anyone who has a minimum of two years high school or similar playing experiences. For more information, call 920.724.1235 or find the Peninsula Symphonic Band on Facebook.
