Peninsula Symphonic Band Holds “Sounds of the Season” Concert Dec. 8

The Peninsula Symphonic Band, Door County’s only community band, invites you to their Sounds Of The Season Christmas concert on Dec. 8 at 7 pm.

Held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Bay, music to be performed includes the “Brazilian Carol” by Percy Faith; Mannheim Steamroller’s “Hark The Herald Angels Sing” arranged by Chip Davis, and a lively piece that depicts a toboggan ride.

There will be an opportunity for the audience to sing along on several carols, and the Peninsula New Horizons adult beginning band will join on “Candlelight Carol” by John Rutter.

A free will collection will be taken to benefit Feed My People, and everyone is invited to enjoy a reception following the concert.

The Peninsula Symphonic Band is a non-audition band open to any musician with at least  two years of  experience of playing in a  high school band, or similar experiences. We rehearse in the Sturgeon Bay High school band room on Monday nights from 7 to 8:30 pm.
