Penny Olson Qualifies for National Senior Olympics in Racewalking

Penny Olson took the gold medal for Women’s Racewalking in her age group in the 31st Annual Wisconsin Senior Olympics held at Pulaski High School in Milwaukee. The Senior Olympics are for men and women 50 years of age and older.

Olson competed in the women’s age 65–69 group with a time of 11:46. The win qualifies her to compete in the National Senior Olympics in Houston Texas, which will be held June 16 – 30, 2011.

Olson and her husband, Glenn Hasenjager, own Olson Cottages, located north of Jacksonport.
