Peshtigo Bulldogs Join Packerland Conference

The Peshtigo Bulldogs will make more trips across Green Bay to face off against teams in the Packerland Conference, including Southern Door, Sturgeon Bay, Sevastopol and Gibraltar. The Bulldogs leave the Marinette/Oconto Conference behind, where Peshtigo was the largest school.

In football, the Bulldogs pulled off a win during their first game in the new conference, topping Sturgeon Bay 14-12.

Back in the Marinette/Oconto Conference, the Bulldogs football team consistently vied for the top spot against rivals at Coleman, who they will play Sept. 8. Now they join the Packerland Conference with bigger schools but the same hope of battling for the top spot in the conference.

In volleyball, the Bulldogs are coming off a 20-7 season in the old conference, already falling into the middle of the pack of Packerland teams with Southern Door remaining undefeated heading into a Sept. 7 match against Algoma.

In men’s cross country, the Bulldogs took second at the Chief Kahquados Invitational at Gibraltar behind Freedom. Peshtigo was the top ranking Packerland Conference team. Peshtigo’s women’s team took ninth in the invite.
