Pet Expressions Closing After 25 Years

After serving Door County for the last 25 years, Pet Expressions and The Door County General Store in Carlsville is closing its doors.

Pet Expressions has been in business since May, 1993 when Verna Kreutz opened her first “pet boutique” in Ephraim. In July 1997 she opened her current store in Carlsville.

The business began in 1990 making “Doggie Delights,” an all-natural dog treat using real fruit. Kreutz began selling the treats to independent pet stores throughout the United States. As the business grew, she began searching for dog breed specific products. Of 180 breeds available, the store stocks items for 100 breeds.

Kreutz is now conducting a storewide liquidation sale. She is closing the doors forever in order to spend more time with her family. All merchandise, store fixtures, furniture and equipment are to be sold. As part of this event a number of prizes will be awarded. No purchase is necessary and the winners need not be present to win. To be eligible, contestants must register in person at the store during normal business hours. All the prizes are on display at the store, located at 5781 Hwy 42 in Carlsville.

Normal store hours are 9:30 am – 5 pm daily. All sales are final. No rain checks or layaways are allowed. For more information customers are encouraged to stop in during normal store hours.
