Pete Mogg Sets Course Record at Horseshoe Bay

Horseshoe Bay Golf Club (HBGC) professional Pete Mogg had a memorable round last Wednesday. Mogg made nine birdies and nine pars at Horseshoe Bay on his way to a personal and course record, 63.

As a senior PGA player, Mogg had no shame in playing from the blue/white combination tees on his way to a record-breaking round.

“My iron shots were money,” Mogg said. “My longest birdie putt all day was 10 feet.”

Mogg’s impressive round included a 31 on the front nine where he rode a train of four consecutive birdies on holes 2 – 5. He missed just one fairway and one green in regulation on the round.

Mogg now owns both the blue/white course record at HBGC with a 63, but also the championship tees record with a 65.
