Pharmacy Opening in Sister Bay Following Closing of Shopko Pharmacy

Hometown Pharmacy announced it will open a pharmacy at Country Walk Shops in Sister Bay in the wake of the closing of the Shopko Pharmacy last month, with former Shopko pharmacist Maria Angelici as pharmacist. It will be located next to Blue Heron Studio. Hometown has 40-plus locations in Wisconsin, including Sturgeon Bay, which opened in January 2015 after the Sept. 2014 closure of Bay Pharmacy. “We can start accumulating information and arranging for delivery from another Hometown to Sister Bay as early as Maria wishes – could be next week,” said Dan Strause of Hometown Pharmacy. “We expect the bureaucratic hassle – and worse yet, the contracting with insurance companies – to be complete and allow us to be full service on site May 1.”
