Phase Two of Mural Complete

Phases one and two of the Baileys Harbor Community Mural Project are complete. The final UV top coat was applied last week and the scissors lift was returned to Green Bay. Ram Rojas, the lead artist, worked long hours to complete details of flora and fauna and lines of poetry. Verses of “Wintergreen Ridge” by Lorine Niedecker can be seen throughout the 96-foot long mural hidden in trees, rocks, and sky.

The mural is complete but needs to be paid for. An anonymous lender allowed the $25,000 project to begin in 2012. Donations to date cover $16,000 of that amount. The Baileys Harbor Historical Society is receiving contributions for this project at PO Box 336, Baileys Harbor, WI 54202.
