Jim Rossol’s award-winning fine art photography will deck the halls of the Northern Door YMCA during December. Rossol brings the Y images from his once long-term vacation destination and home for the last 13 years, Door County, and his longstanding current winter vacation destination, the Yucatan Peninsula. Be prepared for an eclectic mix of monochromatic, vivid color, representational and abstract images.
Rossol intends for his representational work to enable viewers with a new awareness and appreciation of familiar things layered with emotional and textural interpretation. His abstraction uses essence to convey a new way of seeing. By accentuating the importance of line and shape, he tries to bring a new interpretation of either things previously seen or an awareness of something never really seen.
The Northern Door YMCA is located at 3866 Gibraltar Rd., Fish Creek and is open 5:30 am – 8 pm Monday to Friday; 7 am – 5 pm Saturday; and 9 am – 3 pm Sunday.
