Physical and Emotional Breast Cancer Recovery Tips

Northern Door Health & Wellness Ministry continues its Community Health Information Programs with “Life After a Breast Cancer Diagnosis” presented by Kris Miller, RN, a breast cancer survivor and trained advocate, on Oct. 26, at 4 pm, at First Baptist Church, Sister Bay.

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in Wisconsin – nearly one-third of all cancer diagnosed in women. Some breast cancer risk factors, such as family history, cannot be changed. However, a woman’s risk of developing breast cancer may be reduced. Come hear how you can find the resources for physical and emotional recovery after a breast cancer diagnosis.

The Ministry also offers free blood pressure screenings on the fourth Tuesday of each month at St. Rosalia’s Church at 5 pm and at the Northern Door YMCA on the second Tuesday of each month from 8:15 – 10:15 am. For more information visit NorthernDoorHealthWellness.com.
