Pioneer Girls Hoopsters Win, Boys Lose

Sevastopol’s girls basketball team remained undefeated on the season with a 46-29 non-conference home victory Thursday over Shiocton.

Bailey Rikkola led the Pioneers with 13 points, followed by Naomi Rikkola with 12 points.

Sevastopol, which is 4-0 overall and 1-0 in the Packerland Conference, hosts another non-conference game Monday against Manitowoc Roncalli before the next conference game Dec. 8 at Southern Door.

Pioneer Boys Drop League Opener

Sevastopol’s boys basketball team opened Packerland Conference play Thursday with a 68-24 loss at Peshtigo.

The Pioneers, who trailed 45-13 at halftime, were led by Logan Schuh with nine points.

The Sevastopol boys, who dropped to 1-2 overall and 0-1 in league play, next host a non-conference game Dec. 6 against Reedsville before hosting a conference game Dec. 9 against Southern Door.
