Pioneers Shut Out Vikings

The Sevastopol varsity softball team scored 12 runs in the opening inning Monday on the way to a 29-0 victory at Gibraltar.

The Pioneers’ Libby Ash and Addison Schauske combined for a no-hitter with five strikeouts in three innings.

Sevastopol tallied 25 hits. Jolene Luedtke batted 5-5 with three triples. Kristen Daubner went 3-3 with a triple. Naomi Rikkola also batted 3-3, and Schauske went 2-2.
