Pioneers Still Storm in Girls Hoops

Sevastopol’s girls basketball remained undefeated in the Packerland Conference this season after recording a 52-20 victory Friday at Kewaunee.

The Pioneers, who led 30-8 at halftime, were led by Bailey and Naomi Rikkola recording 15 points apiece. Kayla Ranly also scored in double figures with 10 points.

Emily Todd led the Storm with seven points.

Sevastopol, which improved to 5-0 in the Packerland and 10-1 overall, hosts its next conference game Tuesday against NEW Lutheran before playing Saturday at Oconto, which is undefeated in league play at 6-0.

Eagles Top Vikings

Southern Door’s girls basketball team led by nine points at halftime Friday and ended up winning in Packerland Conference play at Gibraltar, 56-46.

The Eagles had three players score in double figures led by Allianna Dufek with 17 points. Bella Price added 15 points with Ashlyn Delfosse scoring 14 more. 

Andie Schar led the Vikings with 14 points. Colleen Carlisle added 11 points.

Southern Door (3-3, 7-6) hosts Kewaunee on Tuesday before playing another league game Saturday at NEW Lutheran.

Gibraltar (0-5, 1-8) plays Tuesday at Sturgeon Bay before hosting a non-conference game Thursday against Gillett and a league game Saturday against Algoma.
