Pioneers Storm Past Kewaunee in Girls Hoops

Sevastopol is now one win away from clinching the Packerland Conference title after winning at home Friday against Kewaunee, 56-32.

Bailey Rikkola led three Pioneer players in double figures with a game-high 20 points, which included four 3-pointers. Naomi Rikkola added 13 points and Libby Ash scored 11 more.

Jade Kroll led the Storm with seven points.

Sevastopol, which improved to 13-0 in the Packerland Conference and 20-1 overall, closes out the regular season this week with league games Monday at NEW Lutheran, Thursday at home against Oconto and next Saturday at Peshtigo.

Eagles Top Vikings

Southern Door’s girls basketball team evened its Packerland Conference record Friday with a 56-52 home victory over Gibraltar.

Allianna Dufek led the Eagles with 20 points, followed by Callie Miller and Payton Gilbertson with 12 points apiece.

The Vikings’ Andie Schar scored a game-high 22 points. Colleen Carlisle added 10 points.

Southern Door (7-7, 12-10) closes out the regular season with league games Monday at Kewaunee and at home Thursday against NEW Lutheran.

Gibraltar (1-13, 3-19), won a non-conference game at home Saturday against Goodman/Pembine, 61-30, and will close out the regular season Monday at home against Sturgeon Bay and Thursday at Algoma.

The Clippers (0-14, 2-19), who lost Friday to Algoma, 67-32, host their regular-season finale Thursday against Kewaunee.
