Place Your Final Bid at the Hardy’s Silent Auction

The Francis Hardy Center for the Arts (FHCA) will host two receptions with light refreshments at the Francis Hardy Gallery on Sunday, August 31 from 6 – 7 pm and again on Monday, September 1 from 10 am – noon to celebrate the silent auction in progress within the “Collection Invitational Exhibition.” The receptions will be great opportunities to place final bids on the prominent works of art donated to the FHCA for the silent auction. Bidding will conclude on Monday, September 1 at noon. All essential funds generated from the event will go to support the center’s local, educational programs in the arts.

“The ‘Collector’s Choice Benefit’ is a superb occasion for visitors and the public to come and support the Francis Hardy Center for the Arts while adding to their own art collections,” said Elizabeth Meissner, the center’s interim executive director.

The artists featured in the “Collection Invitational Exhibition” are established local artists whose works are displayed in one of Door County’s leading exhibitions for regional professional artists. Visitors and collectors alike will become enthralled with the exceptional pieces presented in the exhibit. The installation is also a success because of the generosity of its participating artists who have each donated works to the Hardy.

“Not only does this exhibit provide great visibility to our local professional artists, it also provides much needed funds to support the Hardy’s ongoing mission in our community,” continued Meissner.

Funds raised will be regenerated within the Door County community through events and outreach programs that coincide with the Hardy’s mission to promote the awareness of the arts. These include Art Camp, Sample the Arts, the Art Therapy Program, the Door County Festival of the Arts and the organization’s newest outreach program, ETC – an Arts Mentorship Program linking creative professionals to high school youth.

The Francis Hardy Gallery is open daily from 10 am – 5 pm. For more information call 920.854.2210, send email to [email protected] or visit http://www.thehardy.org.
