Plant Giveaways

The plants selected by the Land Trust – including native white pine trees such as this one – will thrive in sun to partial sun in most Door County soils and attract native pollinators. Submitted.

In cooperation with The Big Plant, the Door County Land Trust is giving away native evergreen and perennial seedlings May 13 and 20, starting both days at 9 am and continuing until all the plants are gone. 

The May 13 giveaway will take place at the Southern Door School parking lot, 2073 Cty DK in Brussels. On May 20, pick up plants at Stabbur Beer Garden at Al Johnson’s, 10698 N. Bay Shore Dr. in Sister Bay.

The evergreens choices are white pine, white spruce and balsam fir, and the perennials are New England aster, golden Alexander and marsh blazing star. Attendees may choose up to three plants in any combination to take home.
