Play It Forward

On Dec. 27, 7 pm, the Door Community Auditorium will present its sixth annual Play It Forward concert, bringing together Door County musicians to benefit a worthy cause. Through these performers’ donated time, as well as donations collected at the concert, Play It Forward celebrates the warmth and light of the holiday season. This year, donations will benefit the GO BO! Foundation, which funds cancer research, assists with cancer-treatment costs and supports the families of Door County children during times of financial need.

This year’s lineup includes the Mighty Mouth Trio, Julian Hagen, Cathy Grier, Dirty Deuce, Mark and Seth Raddatz, Small Forest, Lucy Hagen, Spike and April, Ben Larsen, Terry Murphy, Pete Thelen and Larry “Thor” Thoreson.

The annual performance was inspired by the life and legacy of Bo Johnson, a young Sister Bay resident who died of leukemia in 2012. The GO BO! Foundation was founded to honor Johnson’s legacy.
