Sport: Track and Field

Events: 200m dash, 4×1 relay, 4×2 relay and long jump.

Do you play other sports? Cross country

Do you prefer playing individual or team sports? That’s a tough one, I would say team because we’re all a family and it’s much more fun.

Why do you like running? For me, it’s a stress reliever and I like the adrenaline rush I get when sprinting.

What’s your pre-meet ritual? With my relay teams, we do a group prayer. Emilie Schartner, Jackie Mosgaller and Hannah Abrahamson are on my 4×1 team, and Emilie Schartner, Jackie Mosgaller and Alyson Bailey are on my 4×2 team.

What’s been your greatest sports moment so far? My sophomore year during sectionals my 4×2 team was seeded eighth and we took first and qualified for state.

What’s been the worst? Being DQed at state…there was a bad hand-off out of the exchange zone.

Who inspires you? My mom, because she’s always there for me and she goes to all of my meets. I wouldn’t know what I’d do without her. I love her.
