Plein Air Festival Artists Chosen for National Exhibit

Eight of the 40 artists participating in this year’s Door County Plein Air Festival, sponsored by the Peninsula School of Art (PSA) in Fish Creek, have been selected to display their paintings in the prestigious 2012 Oil Painters of America (OPA) National Juried Exhibition.

The artists include Ben Bauer of Minnesota, Stuart Fullerton of Illinois, Frank Gardner of Mexico, Deb Groesser of Nebraska, Marc Hanson of Minnesota, Jeff Merrill of Hawaii, Larry Rudolech of Indiana, and Tom Nachreiner of Wisconsin, who will teach a workshop at the PSA in May.

Other 2012 faculty members at the PSA who were selected for the OPA exhibition include William Schneider and Susan Ploughe, both of Illinois.
