Ploor Family Receives Century Farm Award

The Ploor family of Sturgeon Bay was honored during the 2022 Wisconsin State Fair for its Century Farm – an awards program that began in 1948 as part of Wisconsin’s centennial celebration to honor families that have maintained continuous farm or home ownership in the state for 100 years or more.

William and Theresa Ploor purchased 120 acres in the Town of Sevastopol in 1920. In 1948, after William died, his son and daughter-in-law, Wilfred and Evelyn, purchased the farm, and it’s still in the family.
