Ploor, Redmann-Smith Earn Northern Sky Scholarships

Mya Ploor and Lia Redmann-Smith have both earned Northern Sky Theater’s Werner and Sue Krause Scholarship. The $2,500 scholarship is available to Door County students who are pursuing a degree in and exhibit a love for theater or music performance, and who have participated in the performing arts throughout high school. Grade point average and other criteria are also considered.

Ploor, a Sevastopol High School graduate, will be studying at Luther College in the fall. In addition to many extracurriculars, she has learned to play more than 20 instruments. 

Redmann-Smith was home-schooled and participated in programs at Gibraltar. She will be attending Madison Area Technical College in the fall. Growing up surrounded by the performing arts, Redmann has had the opportunity to explore and develop her skills and interests in many performing-arts areas.
