Plum Bottom Hosts Annual Gala July 10

Plum Bottom Gallery (PlumBottomGallery.com) is hosting its annual gala July 10, 3-7 pm.

“It’s been an incredible honor to represent the artists we have [for] the past 15 years,” said Chad Luberger, Plum Bottom owner and founder. “I am humbled by the talented artists and the guests that have made Plum Bottom what it is today. To be voted Best Gallery in Door County, considering the great number of high-quality galleries in Door County, is high praise indeed. We have a lot to celebrate at this year’s annual gala.”

Among the event’s featured artists will be resident artist Angela Olson Luberger, a metalsmith known for her sterling-silver creations and specialties in hand-wrapped gemstone necklaces, earrings and spinner rings.

Mary White adds a gel medium to her acrylics to form peaks of color and magical landscapes that leap off the canvas.

Door County inspires Krista Carlsen to create large-scale landscapes featuring layers of oil and wax in vibrant colors and brilliant white tones.

Valerie Weberpal is a fiber artist and painter who makes contemporary folk art with colorful landscapes, familiar shapes and fantasy/dreamlike qualities.

Olson Luberger, White and Weberpal will be available to answer questions at the gala, to be held at 4999 Plum Bottom Road in Egg Harbor, while visitors enjoy hors d’oeuvres from Culinaria and MacReady’s Bread Company and wine from von Stiehl Winery.
