PMF Announces 2011 Season

The Peninsula Music Festival’s (PMF) chamber series, “February Fest,” will include two concerts at Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church in Ellison Bay.

The first concert will feature the James Ehnes Trio on Friday, February 4 at 7 pm. The trio includes violinist James Ehnes, cellist Robert DeMaine, and pianist Andrew Armstrong. General admission is $40 for the concert or $75 to attend both the concert and a reception with the artists afterwards.

The second concert, to be held on Sunday, February 13 at 3pm will be a “Brahm’s & Schumann Soiree” featuring PMF clarinetist David Bell, pianist Judith Jackson, and Samantha George as narrator. General admission is $30 and includes a brief reception after the concert.

PMF’s 59th August symphony season will run from Tuesday, August 2 through Saturday, August 20, 2011. The season will feature nine concerts by professional musicians from orchestras across the country.

The concerts are held every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday for three weeks. Season tickets are available now; single tickets will go on sale February 1, 2011.
