Poetry Group Reunites at Write On

A poetry group known as The Sheets will host a reunion reading Feb. 18, 1:30-3:30 pm, at Write On, Door County.

The Sheets originally met at Conkey’s Bookstore in Appleton during the late 1990s to read, write, critique, support and celebrate the company of fellow writers. Collectively, group members have published more than a dozen books and earned numerous accolades for their poetry and other writing, and Karla Huston and Bruce Dethlefsen have both served as Wisconsin’s poet laureate. 

Those attending the reunion include Cathryn Cofell, Bruce Dethlefsen, Annette Langlois Grunseth, Karla Huston (participating virtually), Michael Koehler, Carrie Sherrill and Peter Sherrill. At the reunion, each member will read some poems and share favorite exercises they use to create their poetry.

The free reading will take place at Write On’s Writing Center, 4210 Juddville Road in Juddville.
