Poetry Jumps Off the Shelf Announces Jumpstart Award

Woodrow Hall Editions is accepting proposals from Wisconsin poets for a project that presents poetry to the public in an unexpected or unconventional manner.

The Woodrow Hall Jumpstart Award will provide a poet $500 to implement his or her project in the summer or fall of 2010. In addition, an award of $250 will be given to a runner-up for the same purpose.

A panel of judges will make the selections. Visit http://www.PoetryJumpsOfftheShelf.com for examples of the kinds of ideas the panel will be looking for and to download an application form. There is no entry fee, and multiple entries from same poet are welcome. The entry deadline is June 1, 2010, and the winners will be announced in July.
