Poetry Reading Group to Begin

Write On, Door County announces the formation of two new monthly book groups, in addition to the one focused on Victorian novels, a poetry group will begin meeting in March. Book discussions will take place at Write On’s center at 4177 Juddville Road, Fish Creek.

The poetry reading group will meet on the fourth Saturdays of the month, from 10 am – noon. Collections scheduled to be discussed are Hunger Wide as Heaven by Wisconsin Poet Laureate Max Garland on March 22; Best of the Best American Poetry: 25th Anniversary Edition edited by David Lehman on April 26; Mother Love by Rita Dove on May 24; Requiem for an Orchard by Oliver de la Paz on June 28; National Monuments by Heid Erdrich on July 26; Source by Mark Doty on August 23; Fuel by Naomi Shihab Nye on September 27; Collected Poems of Dylan Thomas in honor of the centennial of his birth on October 25; and the sonnets of Shakespeare on November 22.
