Poetry Series Features Mary Gray Kaye and Introduces Chapbook

Mary Gray Kaye

Each year the UU Fellowship of Door County publishes a poetry chapbook with poems from the Dickinson Poetry Series. What is Hidden, the poetry from the 2012 Series, will be released April 28 (Poetry Sunday) at the UUF. What is Hidden features provocative images, metaphors, perceptions and ideas contained within the poetry.

Poetry Sunday, celebrated each April in honor of National Poetry Month, has 11 poets read their poems. A gala publication party will follow this service.

The chapbook will be available throughout the year from the Fellowship and at select poetry events.

Mary Gray Kaye is the featured poet in the Dickinson Poetry Series on May 8, 7 pm.

Kaye is a published writer whose many years of diversified experience find a place in her writing. Her professional background includes newspaper reporting, public relations and corporate travel. Her creative life has produced ghostwritten memoirs, essays, magazines articles, poems and fiction.

On the second Wednesday of every month the Dickinson Poetry Series features a reading by a local or regional poet followed by an open mic and reception. The public is welcome, and admission is free.

The UUF is located at 10341 Highway 42 in Ephraim. For more information visit http://www.uufdc.org or call 920.854.7559.
