Poet’s Latest Book is a Love Letter to Home

Local poet Joseph Lopez has released Scared Gods, his most vulnerable work to date. It’s a study of a poet as he moves from nature to the city, a reflection on love and change, and an expression of his love for Sturgeon Bay and its people. This work starts small, grows bolder until it yells, then lets go.

Inspired by the beauty of the place he feels honored to call home, Lopez has also written Sounds Unheard / Songs of Home, The Lethargy of Fog, Paper Tiger Sounds and A Season through the Door.

Scared Gods is available at Novel Bay Booksellers and OtherWorlds Books & More in Sturgeon Bay, and through the author. Follow Lopez on social media at @j.l.writer.
