Polster and Carson Win Cash Award

The Door County Economic Development Corporation, in association with the UW-Green Bay Small Business Development Center, recently announced Tami Polster Walls, owner of Wisconsin Family Visitation Center (WFVC), and Dorothea Carson, owner of CW Family Solutions LLC (CWFMS), are the joint winners of the $1,000 cash award for the best business plan originating from the 13th annual Door County Entrepreneurial Training Program course conducted earlier this year.

WFVC provides children with supportive visitation services. The company mission is to provide a safe, secure and structured alternative for the exchange and/or visitation of children with parents in an environment that promotes healthy interaction between family members and prevents the victimization of any person.

CWFS provides family support services to families using WFVC’s visitation and exchange services and to families needing mediation, an anger management group, fathers groups, and/or parenting plans.

Walls and Carson were among the 12 students representing start-up or existing local businesses in the class sponsored by DCEDC and the SBDC.
