Ports of Call a Great Success

Ports of Call, the annual gala evening of food, raffles, and live and silent auctions to benefit the Door County Maritime Museum (DCMM), has been deemed a huge success, raising over $24,000 or 20 percent of the annual planned budget shortfall of $126,500.

“This is the museum’s annual major fundraiser and we’re very grateful for the continued selfless giving by our local restaurants, businesses, museum members and friends; they truly made this evening a success,” said DCMM Executive Director, Brian Kelsey. “The event helped raise crucial financial support which will aid us in our continued operations. This event certainly could not have happened without the dedication and determination of Trudy Herbst and her amazing team of volunteers including Lucy Richter (Chairperson), Sue Hirsch, Kanani King, Susan Kurtz, Marilyn Lang, Sharon McConnell, Nancy Munch, Jerry Richter and Lynn Steiner.”
