On July 29 at 7 pm, WIFEE and the HUZzBAND, a 10-piece original music heavy band, will take the Music in the Gardens stage, the hospital green space on 16th avenue in Sturgeon Bay. WIFEE and the HUZzBAND offers some powerful music that pulls from influences of old soul, Motown, 50s-60s rock and roll, rhythm and blues and funk.

Kitty CoopDeville (the WIFFEE) first came to Sturgeon Bay to participate in Steel Bridge Songfest and decided to relocate and make Door County her home. It was here that she met saxophonist, Stephen “Coopy” Cooper (the HUZz), her future husband and band mate. The two began writing music together at songwriting events. One thing led to another and they found themselves fronting a 10-piece band.

The group recently released their debut CD, Songs of Eternal Love and Immediate Satisfaction, produced by pat mAcdonald and recorded by Steve Hamilton.

All Music in the Garden concerts are free of charge. Donʼt forget to bring lawn chairs or blankets. For more information about the MDCMC Music in the Gardens series, call 920.493.5979.
