PPGC Hosts Two Kids’ Golf Camps

Registration is now open for two summer opportunities for juniors to learn about golf at Peninsula State Park Golf Course (PPGC, peninsulagolf.org). Participants will also receive free golf all summer at PPGC’s short course and Stonehedge Golf Course in Egg Harbor.

The First Tee Program – open to ages eight to 17 – gives kids who are new to golf a proper foundation and improves the skills of those with more experience. This 10-week program starts June 19 and meets at PPGC every Wednesday, 5-6 pm. No experience is necessary; equipment will be provided. The cost is $100 per person; scholarships are available; and multiple family members will receive a discounted rate.

The William & Carolyn Bell Camp is a four-day golf school, June 17-20, for ages eight to 14. Young players will learn about golf in a fun, educational environment, coached by LPGA teaching professional Sylvia Ferdon. Enrollment for the July 8-11 class will begin June 24. Classes meet 3-4:30 pm and cost $30 per junior. To enroll, stop by the PPGC clubhouse 6 am – 6 pm. PPCG is located at 9890 Shore Road in Ephraim.
