Prayer Shawl Blessing at St. Luke’s

A prayer shawl ministry was created at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Sister Bay in response to Jesus’ call to care for the sick, the lonely, and those who are grieving or hurting. Recently, the Rev. Barb Sajna blessed a number of prayer shawls created by parishioners of St. Luke’s. These shawls will be gifts to people who are ill, grieving or struggling with the challenges of life. The hope is that these shawls will a reminder to recipients that they are wrapped in God’s love. The Rev. Deacon Joy Zakrzewski, Chaplain at Scandia and a Deacon at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, will be able to give them to Scandia residents as she sees a need.
