Pre-Show Meals, Talks at Door Shakespeare

Door Shakespeare patrons can enjoy a preshow wine tasting and meal prepared by Thyme Restaurant and Catering before select shows.

The meals are offered at 6:30 pm on alternating Wednesdays and Thursdays, July 12 through Aug. 17.

Entrées include bistro chicken with artichokes, spinach, caramelized onion, goat cheese and a lemon-basil sauce; smoked beef brisket with Kansas City barbecue sauce; Door County cherry barbecue chicken; pesto-marinated chicken bruschetta with tomato, onion and Parmesan cheese over penne; and Jamaican jerk chicken with pineapple-mango salsa. Each entrée comes with a side dish, salad or vegetable, and dessert. Dietary restrictions are gladly accommodated with prior notice at registration. Meals are accompanied by a selection of wine and soft drinks.

Shake It Up Saturdays – 45-minute preshow gatherings – are also set for July 15, July 29 and Aug. 12 to introduce patrons of all ages to the evening’s theatrical production so they can have a deeper understanding of the story. And, because Shake It Up Saturdays are designed with families in mind, they include activities such as a scavenger hunt to help get the wiggles out before the show begins. The program is free, but registration is required.
