Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Del McCoury Harmonize at DCA

Preservation Hall Jazz Band

On July 24 at 7 pm, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band will join special guest Del McCoury live on the stage of Door Community Auditorium.

Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Del McCoury are each legends in their own right, selling out their live performances across the U.S. and beyond. Together in concert, these musical icons create a seamless blend of soul-lifting traditional harmonies, bringing together the high, lonesome sound of the Appalachians and the hot, lively jazz of New Orleans.

Boasting a direct lineage from the earliest incarnations of New Orleans jazz, the current roster of the Preservation Hall Jazz Band features some of the Crescent City’s finest and most exciting musicians.

Del McCoury

With his ensemble Del McCoury Band, McCoury has won multiple Grammy awards and nominations, making him one of the most honored musicians in bluegrass history. His collaboration with Preservation Hall Jazz Band, which has already led to an acclaimed studio recording, marks a unique opportunity to witness the coming together of two distinctly American musical lineages.
