The community is invited to attend a food preservation/pressure canning class on Nov. 19, 12 – 4 pm, at NWTC in Sturgeon Bay. Pam Peterson, Door County UW-Extension Family Living Educator, and Jenny Spude, Wisconsin Nutrition Education Coordinator for Door and Kewaunee counties, will lead the program. Participants will get an overview of using a pressure canner, learn how to preserve low-acid foods, including meat, and take home canned products.
