Pride Project to Travel Door County

Local establishments are hosting Open Door Pride’s What’s My Pride Project for a month at a time as it travels around Door County to locations that will be announced.

The initiative started in 2017, capturing people through a camera lens as they share their words of Pride. During March, the project’s chalkboard will be available at Lawlss Coffee, 108 S. Madison Ave. in Sturgeon Bay, for people to write what their Pride is and to take a selfie to be shared online. Destination Door County will be the host in June.

Open Door Pride’s signature event, Pride Festival, is set for June 25, 10 am – 5 pm, in Martin Park. If you’re interested in being a vendor, email [email protected].

Open Door Pride is also seeking nominations for the annual Sandy Brown Award, designed by a local artist and awarded each year to a person, organization or business that exemplifies the group’s mission to celebrate diversity with inclusion for all.

Nominate someone for the award or submit your name for the award design by emailing [email protected].
