Prince of Peace Lutheran Church Service

Christmas (among other holidays) can be a difficult time. The loss of loved ones, the anguish of a broken relationship, health concerns, loneliness or simply the pressure of preparing for the season can take their toll. A space and a time is needed to acknowledge the sadness and concern that may be present, instead of tucking it away because “we’re not supposed to feel this way.”

In the midst of despair, God brings hope. In the midst of winter’s “long nights,” we anticipate the light of day. On Monday, December 21st, at 6:00pm, we hope that you will join us in celebrating the hope that only God can bring. A time for remembering, sharing and preparing our hearts for the arrival of Jesus Christ, our Savior.

Our worship site will be Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, whose sanctuary will be graced with candles and soft music during this community gathering. Comfort for our souls will come through music, readings, some time for quiet reflection upon God’s Word and moments for meditation. Each of these elements provides an opportunity for you to come to know your Savior, or to grow closer to Him. There is also an opportunity to light a candle in memory of a loved one, or as a sign of Hope. Fellowship and refreshments will follow the service.
