Midsummer’s Music welcomes back the world-renowned Pro Arte Quartet for a special pre-season concert appearance on May 15 at 7:30 pm at the Ephraim Moravian Church.

Pro Arte’s members David Perry, violin; Suzanne Beia, violin; Sally Chisholm, viola; and Parry Karp, violoncello, have thrilled classical music audiences for nearly 20 years. In addition to touring internationally, they have performed at the White House and have even graced the stage of the prestigious Carnegie Hall. Critics praise Pro Arte for their precision and intensity. The San Francisco Chronicle referred to the Pro Arte Quartet as, “one of the greatest quartets of our time.”

The ensemble has been in continuous existence since 1911 – 12, when its founding students at the Brussels Conservatory in Belgium organized the ensemble. Over the years there have been a totally of 26 musicians that were official members of the Pro Arte Quartet. The current four members have performed together since 1995.

Tickets to the Pro Arte Quartet performance are $30 for adults and $10 for students. Ephraim Moravian Church is located at 9970 Moravia St. For more information, visit or call 920.854.7088.
