Progressive Art Crawl

“Free Range” by Jeanne Kuhns.

Four Egg Harbor fine art galleries invite the community to enjoy a progressive art crawl on Aug. 6, 4 – 8 pm, with food courses at each gallery and chances to win gallery gift certificates. The four participating galleries are Lost Moth Gallery, Cappaert Contemporary Gallery, Off The Wheel Pottery, and Angela Lensch Gallery. Visit all four and receive each artist’s mark on a special card, and then turn the stub into the last visited gallery to be eligible for the drawing.

“Passion” by Ginnie Cappaert.

Start off this progressive crawl with hors d’oeuvres, iced tea and wine at Lost Moth Gallery (7975 Hwy 42), presenting new works by allegorical, nature-inspired painters Jeanne Kuhns and Dawn Patel. The second stop, Off The Wheel Pottery (4234 County E), features work by resident potter Rene Schwaller and the opening night of Face It: Clay Objects Containing a Face. Continue the meal here with beverages, artisan bread, cheese and finger foods. Third, stop at Cappaert Contemporary Gallery (7901 Hwy. 42), offering contemporary art blending with an eclectic mix of painting, glass, clay and jewelry. An artful main course will be provided. The fourth and final location, Angela Lensch Gallery (7653 Hwy 42), displays unique and hand-woven gold and silver jewelry by resident artist Angela Lensch, and will provide a unique dessert featuring a chocolate fountain with fruit, cookies and wine to cap off the night.
