The Ridges Sanctuary is hosting a summit Aug. 5-6 to discuss its master plan for the next 20 years. Ridges staff and board members, as well as representatives from its design team, SmithGroup and PROS Consulting, will attend.

An open house is planned at The Ridges Sanctuary, 8166 Hwy 57 in Baileys Harbor, for Aug. 5, 2-4 pm, when members of the public are encouraged to share ideas, ask questions and learn more about the master-plan process.

A second open house will be held Aug. 6, 9 am – 2 pm, along with three sets of tours and brainstorming sessions – 8-9:30 am, 10-11:30 am and 1-2 pm – when the public can join Ridges staff and board members and design-team representatives to explore the sanctuary and land at the council ring, share ideas, and discuss strengths and potential challenges for The Ridges. The tours will cover about one mile of walking on mostly boardwalked terrain.

The summit will end with the annual member meeting Aug. 6, 4:45-8:30 pm.
